Come experience the joy of worship with our contemporary worship group. This team leads song each week at our 10:30 Mass. This Mass is also live-streamed every Sunday here at Saint Dennis Catholic Church in Madison, WI. From its inception, this group has used modern methods to bring their music to life and lead inspiring worship. But technology is always secondary to its deepest desire to bring people the joy of Christ to each worship experience.
This group meets for worship rehearsal on Wednesdays throughout the year. Trained singers and instrumentalists who can learn music independently are encouraged to audition. Arrangements include classic hymns to top praise and worship songs from Christian artists. This group features piano, bass, guitar, drums, and vocalists each week, and loves to include violins, organ, synths, percussion, sax, flute or other solo instrumentalists to fill out their arrangements. If you are interested in joining the team, please reach out to Andrew. Our Adult Praise Choir sings weekly at our 8:30 Mass starting after Labor Day in September through Corpus Christi Sunday in June. They regularly use SATB choral music from chant to contemporary works. While music reading is very helpful, it is not required for this group's members that rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00PM.
Contact: Ruth Gabriel-Benesh, Choir Director [email protected]Cantors and Instrumentalists add life and energy to music and support the song of the people.
They help set the tone for the liturgy and encourage active participation. Cantors may be heard as soloists among the various musical groups or may be heard leading us in song for a weekend or holy day Mass when a group is not scheduled. These trained singers learn and prepare their music independently. If you are interested to audition to become a cantor or would like additional information, don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Sacristans set out the vessels, ensure lay ministers are present and make other preparations for the weekend Masses. They also clean and put away vessels after Mass. This ministry allows the priests to be available to people prior to and following the Liturgy. The ministry can be performed by one person, or a couple. It is an enjoyable family ministry for young couples with children.
